Adjectives

What is an adjective and give me some examples. Correct answers will get prizes! Don't forget to add your name to your comment.


We have athletics training tomorrow so don't foget to wear your house uniform.

1/2 an hour of homework starts tonight. Every weeknight you need to do 1/2 an hour, yes, that's right, 30 mins. If you can't think of what to do, come and see me at school and I'll give you things to do. The school policy states that Grade 5 students should be doing 30-40 mins a night. This is important in staying on top of your work and not falling behind.

Oh, and Chelsea, what is a noun?

    an adjective is a word that discribes a noun.
    e.g:
    1:the thin,yellow,boring grammar book.
    2:the pointy,long,lilac pencil.
    3:the mighty,fierce,loud,golden lion.
    4:the elegent,pink and blue butterfly.
    5:the gracefull ballerina wearing the pink tu-tu.

    An Adjective is discribing a Noun or a Pronoun.
    An example is The Tiny Fish Swam.
    Tiny is the Adjective.

    another example is The Big Elephant Fell.
    Big is the Adjective.
